Setup & authentication

The Fyvel MCP server is protected with its own MCP credential. This credential is not the same as the API key for Excel or Google Sheets.

Endpoint

https://www.fyvel.io/mcp

Authentication

Send the MCP credentials as a bearer token in the HTTP header:
If the header is missing or the token is invalid, the server rejects the call.

Create an MCP credential in Fyvel

  1. In Fyvel, open Company settings > MCP
  2. Click New MCP credential
  3. Confirm creation
  4. Copy the token immediately — it is shown only once

How credentials behave

  • MCP credentials are bound to the organisation
  • When you create a new MCP credential, existing MCP credentials of that organisation are revoked
  • The API key for Excel and Google Sheets is not affected

First call

For new MCP clients this order works well:
  1. list_companies
  2. choose the matching companyUuid
  3. then call the organisation-wide or company-specific tool you need

Important scope rules

  • The organisation comes from the bearer token
  • Many tools also expect a companyUuid
  • You get the companyUuid from list_companies
